8 Ingredients of Foxtail Millet Bread

Foxtail Millet Flour | 1 cup |
Whole Wheat Flour | 1 cup |
Milk | 15 ml |
Salt | 1 g |
Yeast | 2 g |
Sugar | 5 g |
Water | 30 ml |
Oil (for greasing) | as needed |
How to make Foxtail Bread?
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sugar, salt and oil. Keep aside for 2 minutes.
- Add the foxtail millet flour, whole wheat flour, and milk and mix them into a smooth dough.
- Knead for about 8 to 10 minutes and place in a greased bowl.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1- 1/2 hrs, and set the oven temperature to 210°C.
- After 1- 1/2 hr punch down the dough onto a floured surface.
- Shape them into a loaf place them in a greased loaf pan and bake them at 210°C for 15 to 20 mins.
- Remove from the pan cool them and cut them into loaves. Use it for making a vegetable sandwich or toast.
- Slice and serve your foxtail millet bread with your favorite spreads or use it to make sandwiches. Enjoy!
