Ingredients of Bajre Ki Raab (बाजरा राब/बाजरा पेय)

Carom Seeds1 tbsp
Bajra Flour/Pearl Millet4 tbsp
Jaggery (grated or powdered)1 tbsp
Salt½ tsp
Dry Ginger Powder1 tbsp

How to make Bajra Raab?

  1. Heat ghee in a small pot. Once the ghee is hot, add ajwain seeds till it sputters.
  2. Add bajra flour and roast it in ghee for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the jaggery, salt, ginger powder and water. Mix very well to ensure that there are no millet flour lumps and that the jaggery is completely dissolved in water.
  4. Bring it to a boil and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. The raab is ready. Empty it into serving glasses garnish with some chopped dry fruits on top and serve hot.
